This is exactly how I feel as well...except I'm a little more bitter, because I bought the Blu-Ray collection thinking 4, 5, and 6 were the originals
I know. I have the remastered set of Blade Runner. 5 different versions of the film and Ridley Scott remastered them all, even the original version with the voice over that he hated. Why can't you learn from this, Lucas?
I completely agree with this. But, the only thing I don't like about the new versions of the original trilogy is the stuff they *changed* not added. I liked the extra scenes (like Jabba in Episode 4), but FETHING HATE the cantina music in Episode 6.

Hehe I am very familiar with that site also GWTOR.COM, they seem to be the best rumour sites, they are our beacons of hope.
Oh yeah forgot about Planetside 2, can't wait for it, there hasn't been any news recently, when does it come out?

There may be an additional side to this. If Lucas imports enough people he may create the demographic of people who need the jobs his studio would create. This would make it more difficult for local planners to refuse plans that foster job creation.
He may still be after a studio in the area and not just revenge.

That is entirely different.
If somebody wanted to sell their land to an open top sewage works and it happens to be next to your house, would you still be saying it's crazy that they can't do that?
This manoeuvre by Lucas shows what a spiteful, wretched little man he is.

I suppose it is fair enough complaining about something that hasn't been built when you moved into a place. Even if, as in this case, that would have been the far better alternative to what they are going to get instead.
My problem is with the likes of people who lived near the Brands Hatch motorsports circuit in Kent, bought houses knowing that the circuit was nearby, and then proceeded to get the government to step in and restrict the number of races that could be run during a year. There is a word for those people, but it will just get screened by the swear-filter so I won't write it

Complaining is fair enough tbh.
For example, imagine the view from your house is this. (Non-realistic example)
Then imagine someone whacks up a big movie studio in the way. Your view now looks like this:
Think how annoyed you would be, and how much value it would take off your house. You'd be annoyed too. It might not be your land or you money, but it will still affect your land and money.

I wonder if he'll make this latest saga into a series of films, then go back and unnecessarily digitally remaster them all.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

It's one case where dubbing in "NOOOOOOO!!!" might actually improve the scene...

I didnt take into consideration of my property and such. That does make more sense. The problem though is, if some company wanted to build a wall just outside of my property, blocking the mountainous view, I wouldnt be able to stop them, as Im not a rich fella.

Not the same. Stopping things like that is what planning permission is for. Unless you had in-roads to bought officials Unless you had in-roads through bullying or bought officials you would not be able to build stuff like that. However planning is not just approved or rejected, it can also offer recommendations to amend. In the above case if the project was beneficial to the community to change the plan to offer lower buildings over a larger area or move a taller building off to one side not to block peoples views etc.
The trouble with nimbys is that they complain to anything and everything because they are opposed to any development, not just unreasonable development. Lucas by now would have had to prove he was jumping through hoops to make the site as unobtrusive as possible, because its was a primary residential district. in a developed western country it would not be the same floor plan as you would be able to get away with in an industrial zone, it would cost more because it would have to look different. Nimbys wins a planning fight by being such a pain that the plans are shelves indefinately in legal red tape until the project runs out of cash or becomes unviable, if they werent nimbys there would have been a compromise by now..
