Of course Pachabel is proof of the existence of God, that violins are merely the recordings of angels singing.

It's a mystery to me - the game commences for the usual fee - plus expenses confidential information - contained in a diary this is my investigation - not a public inquiry
I go checking out the reports - digging up the dirt you get to meet all sorts in this line of work treachery and treason - there's always an excuse for it and when I find the reason I still can't get used to it
And what have you got at the end of the day? what have you got to take away? a bottle of whisky and a new set of lies blinds on the windows and a pain behind the eyes
Scarred for life - no compensation private investigations

While some people are telling him its a total girls instrument and he should change his mind (Something I never condone personally) I reminded them that the band Jethro Tull is not only fantastically awesome, but their front man Ian Anderson was a BADASS flutist. So anyways, Ive had them on the brain as well
I was all excited to see Tull when they played in New Orleans back in, I believe it was 1988, but I had to work that night at the hotel. Needless to say, I was plenty bummed as I went about my duties that night.
About a couple hours after the concert, up walks the whole band to me since, to my surprise, they were staying there and we got into a pretty good conversation for the next little while about places around New Orleans and the city in general.
Funny how life works sometimes ya? Now thats an awesome story right there
That was definitely one of the few good things about working at that hotel. I remember one morning I was out front with the drummer from White Lion at the time, throwing a bone back and forth with him while we played monkey in the middle with a stray dog.
About the only band that got fully hated by the staff was the Beastie Boys. They were arrogant pricks from the word go to anyone that had to deal with them. A close second on the prick scale was Bobby Brown and his entourage.

King Crimson. It's like a koala bear crapped a rainbow inside my brain!
Man, I Love King Crimson, My favorite is probably Moonchild. Although sometimes I wish they'd knock off the crap on the end, But that's also part of their charm, Beggars cant be choosers and all that.

For the majority of Americans that have no clue, he means "Teenage Wasteland" Yes, he got the title of the song correct, but at least where I live, most people seem to think its Teenage waste land

More Rainbow
Next up how about some Boston?
I looked out this morning and the sun was gone
Turned on some music to start my day
I lost myself in a familiar song
I closed my eyes and I slipped away
It's more than a feeling (more than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
'till I see Marianne walk away
I see my Marianne walkin' away
So many people have come and gone
Their faces fade as the years go by
Yet I still recall as I wander on
as clear as the sun in the summer sky
It's more than a feeling (more than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
'till I see Marianne walk away
I see my Marianne walkin' away
When I'm tired and thinking cold
I hide in my music, forget the day
and dream of a girl I used to know
I closed my eyes and she slipped away
She slipped away
It's more than a feeling (more than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling)
I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
'till I see Marianne walk away

Well, duh, everyone knows that. How about something more obscure?
How about Bad Company? Shooting Star has to be a classic.
Johnny was a schoolboy
When he heard his first Beatles song
Love Me Do I think it was
And from there it didn't take him long
Got himself a guitar
Used to play every night
Now he's in a rock and roll outfit
and everything's all right
Don't ya know
Johnny told his mama
Hey, Mama, I'm going away
I'm gonna hit the big time
Gonna be a big star someday
Momma came to the door
With a teardrop in her eye
Johnny said "Don't cry Momma,
Smile and wave goodbye."
Don't you know
Chorus)
Don't you know
That you are a shooting star,..(don't you know, don't you know)
Don't you know that you are
A Shooting Star
And all the world will love you
Just as long..as long as you are?
Johnny made a record
Went straight up to number one
Suddenly everyone loved to hear him sing his song
Watching the world go by
Surprising it goes so fast
Johnny looked around him
And said "Well I made the big time at last."
(chorus)
a shooting star.,....
(chorus)
Johnny died one night
Died in his bed
Bottle of whiskey, sleeping tablets
By his head
Johnny's life passed him
by like a warm summer day
If you listen to the wind
You can still hear him play
I think it's time for Pink Floyd. Here's a couple of my favourites.
First up is Echoes. Couldn't decide which video to put up so here have two. One from Pink Floyd and one from David Gilmour (though it still has Rick Wright because how could Echoes not have him and still be Echoes?).
Spoiler:
Spoiler:
Then all the parts of Shine On You Crazy Diamond, amazing song.
Spoiler:
The Laws of Thermodynamics:
1) You cannot win. 2) You cannot break even. 3) You cannot stop playing the game.
