I lol'd. Trees for the Tree God!

I have Adobe, and a friend who basically lives and breathes Adobe.. I wonder if I can get a summer project going that might turn into a free T-shirt design you can just take a print shop and have printed onto a Tshirt..... Yes.. I might actually do that.

Interesting thread,
I've never done this for gaming, but I have used it for my other hobbies. At work I had a very small LEGO set on my desk and used to read Brick Journal and bass player magazine in public.

I think this was especially common back in high school and college when I would wear Prana brand clothing and use a large belay carabiner for my keys. I met a climbing partner that way.

I saved my Reaper points and got a reaper T shirt. Its nearly worn out now, I wear it often. It gets some odd questions; most people think its for some obscure brand of rolling papers.

I have a MU lanyard for my work badge. No one has ever recognized it, but it is hilarious when people say, "oh, Miskatonic U? Where is that?"

Then I get to explain. One lady was going to read some Lovecraft after I gave the background, but I don't know if she ever did.

I wear a bunch of sailing t-shirts to see if anyone else sails. More often than not, they don't.

I actually don't have any 40k flags, but for some reason, I have a "Play like you got a pair" button from a PP tournament I accidentally walked in on.

Ive got (think I still have...) a GW 40k CCG shirt from about 10 years ago. Used to wear it a lot, never had anyone recognize it. Back in high school (1995-96) I had an army surplus long coat that I hand painted some Eldar runes on, no one ever recognized that either. People here in FL dont recognize much that isnt associated with ball sports it seems.

That is a great idea, might have to put a Miskatonic University sticker on my car now, instead of a Monmouth University one. Would be interesting to see who else is a Lovecraft fan.

Even on this board, it's interesting to discover how pervasive Lovecraft familiarity is.

"If you really want to know what it was like, to fight in the air in the great War, then go up to someone you have never met and who has never done you the slightest harm and pour a two-gallon tin of petrol over them. Then apply a match, and when they are nicely ablaze, push them from a fifteenth-floor window after first perhaps shooting them a few times in the back with a revolver. And be aware as you are doing these things that ten seconds later someone else will quite probably do them to you. This will exactly reproduce... the substance of First World War aerial combat and will cost your country nothing. It will also avoid the necessity of ten million other people to die in order for you to enjoy it."
