And what do these have to do with the price of tea in China? We're talking about diversifying DWARVES, not throwing random trash into the army with no rhyme or reason.

Besides, the role of the big buff warriors is handled by the hammerers, and the warriors with bows is handled by the thunderers, and there Is No Role For Wizards In A Dwarven Army. So you're not really diversifying, just cluttering the aesthetic.

It's pretty likely the Anvil runes will become some sort of bound item thing like the new Empire magical chariot thingies, though. Which raises the possibility of the Anvil being able to do more than one thing a turn...

One should also bear in mind whats been printed in the Dwarf section of the BRB. Something about the spirits of the ancestors animating statues or some such? I forget the exact wording. But whether we like it or not, we'll get something that reflects that, because most of the new units issued to new armies was foreshadowed in their section of the BRB.

Made me pull out my BRB ok and I am not going to quote but you are right the book doese mention that the engineers guild in an effort to save the dwindling dwarf race and against some of the more traditionalist dwarfs have started making steam powered war engined in the likeness of Dwar Ancestor God, it also refers to furnace hearted beasts beloved by the Engineers of Karak Hirn.

I honestly think that the Dwarfs NEED something bigger and meaner than a Gyrocopter, I mean they are supposed to be the Engineering masters of the Warhammer world and yet the Empire has a tank which to me honestly seems more dwarf like than anything, but ohh well. I really think we will see the constructs and maybe some sort of mechanised cavalry.
