Wondering Why the Emperor Left

First addition said humans and eldar could procreate, no ones contradicted it so it stands. Also in the heresy series it mentioned a human civilization living in harmony with the eldar so maybe they all got hammered one night and before you know abunch of Eldar kids. Automatically Appended Next Post: And the Dark Eldar will screw anything that moves.

Actually, it has been contradicted. Hard.

But only awesome crimes like bushranging and, if I understand the song correctly, sheep stealing and suicide. |

The only way to say they can is if something explicitly says they can. Point taken. beezley1981 wrote:I remember watching the Games Workshop teaser videos before the Dark Eldar Codex came out. The writer of the codex and the sculpter of the models, mentioned repeatedly that there was a ton of cross breeding, (sexual) going on with the slaves, (humans, tau, eldar). If the dude who wrote the fluff says that it can happen, then it can. Just watched the video - well, if the 'gods' at GW said it, I suppose it can be done.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

What is the context regarding the hybrids? The only hybrids that I know of in the current DE book are the Mandrakes, who are possibly the remnants of those Eldar who, during the heights of their decadance, coupled with demons out of pleasure and for experience. Those offspring survived the fall and came to be known as Mandrakes.
I concur with most, though, that hybrids are likely to occur, and it is only the desire to not turn 40k into "Kingdoms of Death" that keeps GW from going into that in detail, especially in regards to the Dark Eldar.
My Archon's backstory includes his favorite slave, who currently has the appearance of a Battle Sister of the Chambers Militant. He apparently desposes of his personal bedslave on a regular basis, but in actuality has kept the same one for over 400 years. By this time the slave doesn't even remember it's name, original appearance, species, or even gender, as "her" flesh and memories have been molded and reshaped countless times over the centuries. Only the Archon's personal Haemunculous knows the truth, as he keeps her memories saved for later viewing and enjoyment. Every so often it amuses the Archon to restore "her" full memories, revelling in the shock and anguish of everything "she" has endured fulfilling his inhuman lusts. Automatically Appended Next Post: He only keeps the fact that the entity itself is the same one from centuries ago in order to protect that weakness: the sentimentality, if you can call it that, of keeping the "same" pet and getting to inflict fresh horrors on it with each new mind wipe and reshaping.

Good news. This is the best time in the hobby. Full of promise. GW lets us down each time and we know it but secretly we're hoping that this is the edition that GW gives us a balanced game that can also be played competitively at tournaments. I'm loving it.

That's monstrous! And so like the Dark Eldar...consider yourself exalted!
