Heh, matter of interpretation. I think it's more grimdark to consider that their equipment is gone because they simply don't need it anymore and it's a waste of space for the power armour. Way easier to plug the suit's waste recycler directly into the urethra than to bother with a urine collection bag.
Then again, this too is a result of my belief / preference that Marines sacrifice much of their humanity to become what they are.

I thought the ones in 1E Rogue Trader were pretty snazzy:

Okay, this one maybe not so much:

@Chem Geld does not make it not work(AFAIK). What it does do is make you immune to seduction and the like. You can still get it up if you choose.

Chem geld is chemical castration or, as the description implies, surgical or mental (how does that i don't even...). You're not going to make any little Calgars if you don't got em.

Also Slannesh marines would be a lot less probable if things didn't work, as they simply wouldn't care.

Eh the one from Rogue trader stats it could be sheer willpower. It does list surgical or chemical as others but no where does it state they can not preform. They are simply immune to someone seducing them.

In a Sm that may be odd anyhow, not sure a human woman could handle em anyway.

It isn't.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
