Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.
"You need not fear us, unless you are a dark heart, a vile one who preys on the innocent; I promise, you can’t hide forever in the empty darkness, for we will hunt you down like the animals you are, and pull you into the very bowels of hell." Iron - Within Temptation

Ive been known to throw said useless garbage out of a 2nd story window back into said dumpster.

The guy who promotes a slave culture as being one of peace is trying to tell us about how OUR reality is distorted? F that guy.
Nice, I love your quote. from the same argument as yours, you also say feth jesus, feth mohamad, and feth the founding fathers. /bravo

Jesus never promoted a slave culture; he advocated a radically egalitarian doctrine . But those other guys? Yeah, feth em.
As for the Dalai Lama... well, Tibetan culture wasn't exactly a slave culture, it was essentially a medieval system. So, if you want to equate serfs with slaves, then I guess so. Otherwise? No. The Dalai Lama has never advocated anything other than peace and compassion and [insert other Vajrayana teachings].

I play a round of Borderlands, Bulletstorm, Halo or anything else that involves guns, dismemberment and blood. It's just more fun when the patrons of Wal-mart play with me. It's too easy when they go AWOL during our live sessions.
I've also been known to verbally flip out and rage if the target is worth my ire: screaming at my ex and calling her a fething c**t to her face in the middle of the bar when she sent her friend to harass me and calling her a cheap whore were among some of my better works. And trust me when I say she deserved every word-it was REALLY that bad. I almost had to go on suicide watch after some stuff she put me through, she aborted our child (suspected, not confirmed-as she avoided the topic any time I brought it up), cheated on me countless times, and broke up her best friend's engagement by sleeping with the fiance. Yeah, she was a piece of work.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Actually, I was referring to the Ragyaba, which is the lowest tier; the 'untouchables' in the Tibetan caste system. And of course the Lamas try to encourage peace: they're at the top of the heap already, why would they ever want to upset the system?

ya he's the top of the heap in exile. There is no Tibet right now, its part of China, so there is no Tibetan caste system.

Right. So what, exactly, does he do to earn a living, then? 'Cause I'm pretty sure he doesn't need to work for a living, nor has he ever.
EDIT: However, he does try to promote Tibet being made 'free', which is exactly my point. His quote promotes peace, while his own actions promote a return to an establishment that was held up by a servant class.

If you've actively pissed me off, prepare to be vaporized. Holes in walls, holes in doors.... my brother once had to hold me down for two hours for me to calm down. I've only ever gotten that way twice, though.

He writes books, gives lecture tours, heads the Tibetan government in exile. A lot actually. He also advocates a democratic Tibetan state, not a return to a theocracy. By his own admission the Chinese invasion was a necessary catalyst for change in an otherwise stagnate state.

That being said, I'm gonna gracefully bow out of this conversation at this juncture, because we both know that this is going to derail things very sharply due to my views against hereditary oligarchies.

he's against the caste system, and advocates against it. He's even proposing Tibet adopt a democracy, replacing him as head of state. He's even suggest the end of the position of Dalai Lama. You should read one of his books sometimes and see what he's actually trying to achieve.
But even if he is the villain you want him to be, that does not mean he is wrong about his advice on how to deal with anger, or any of his teachings on how to achieve an enlightened life.
