I agree that the lack of Haqqislam dedicated-doctor figures are rather disappointing, but it's understandable. Much of the time, the unit profiles that allow doctors have two sculpts with Rifles, and most people just paint a cross/crescent on it and call it a doctor.

It's much easier to proxy/paint a Doctor than it is to proxy up a HMG/Spitfire/ML/etc.

Plus, the Ghulam Doctor sculpt is showing its age next to the current 'new' Ghulam.

Most factions don't even have a decicated doctor figure unless it's explicitly a special unit profile (Sophotect, 411, etc).

See, to me, that just feels lazy. Doctors are distinguished by their gear moreso than painting a white band on them (the air gun and med pack). Sure I can go buy a bunch of Ghulam doctors to strip those bits, but that gets expensive.

So is the Ghulam Panzerfaust, Hacker and HMG. They all have the old style vest with dorsal fin. While I like the new Ghulam sculpts, they don't fit with any of the special Ghulam models. Honestly, they should have waited until they had new a new Doctor, Panzerfaust and HMG and just done a big Ghulam rerelease.

Most factions aren't sold on having the most doctors.

It's not much to ask - they are, afterall, simply variants on existing models. Other factions get their variants. I'd even buy a Haqqislam doctor box with 4 different doctors from different unit types.

Dear Sweet Jesus, PLEASE don't let it be Achilles that got scanned.

Duroc, McMurrough, Taik Mansuri... anyone else wouldn't be too crazy. But a Shasvastii Achilles would be way out of hand.

Cameronian would be pretty cool. I'd like a monstrous Shasvastii.

That's what I'm thinking it would be like since there would be no change in looks if he scanned Achilles. But with Cameronion/Dog Warrior there's a physical change of looks.

All the 40K 6th hysteria in the N&R forum is giving me a headache...

I had a Shasvastii player in a tourney morpho-scan my Aquila Guard (HMG), go all "I have you, now!" and attempt to shoot me with his now boosted abilities, and still lose the F2F roll against my 1 shot ARO (crit at optimum range and in the open v combi-rifle.). This happened to him in three other games during the tourney also (morpho scan and lose a f2f shoot v aro) until he stopped using it. It was like his very own anti-success hex.

If it could only scan armor! lol.

Yes we do need the update soon but I'm sure it will be overshadowed by the 40Krak

I think CB is moving to a better design philosophy when it comes to poses, and more specifically 'dynamic' poses.

People think they want them, but the more extreme they are, the sillier they turn out!

Of course, there are still some stumbles, most recently in the Ariadna range!

Figures just when I buy the old monks, oh well. I still like the old sculpts, but I might be tempted to get these when they come out.

What's their AVA now?

And there is rumor of a new "Svalarheima" based sectorial for Yu-Jing, where the AVA might be... TOTAL?

(Even though those dirty Yu-Jing should realize that Svalarheima belongs to PanOceania and... the Jotums !

Those monks look nice! Will they be replacing the old monks? Makes me want to start Yu Jing, too: MONKS AND NINJAS FIGHTING TOGETHER, LIGHT AND DARK SIDE BY SIDE.

Lovely new sculpts I have to say, a big improvement on the last lot, and like Alpharius says there is a much more consistent style with how these new models are coming out. It's just a shame that they will still go running forward and die in a hail of bullets so often

Regarding the Ariadna, I think all will be forgiven if they just go ahead and make that Wulver with no Y-chromosome

Re-sculpts are a smart thing to do for them. You pretty much keep your stock at the same number but you get people who even already own the old ones to get the new ones! You are still coming out with stuff but it's not "New" new.

Sweet! I want to know the stat block for that rocket launcher! Also the Riot Grrl looks awesome. Patchwork armor? Booty skill maybe? Still, IMO, badass of the month must go to the hooded Metro with the HMG.

Agreed, in fact that Metro is looking very much like the model that gets me into Infinity....darn!
