Was a great time, thanks to Travis for running a great event. I was very surprised and humbled to get an award for favorite army. Some very talented generals and awesome looking armies were there.

Round 1 against BA parking lot was minor loss for me, glad to hold my own with so little anti tank. He gave me nothing to chomp on! Well played sir.
Round 2 against John's GK was a straight draw, some great cinematic moments occured but the highlight for me was John manning up and sending Coteaz into my Thirster... he took my powers but I took his head! LOL really fun stuff.
Round 3 against a mostly Footdar list, the first volley of scatter lasers put 17 wounds on fateweaver... after rerolls I only took one wound... and rolled an 11 to fly home... Got wrecked after that but it was still a fun game because once you lose the big chicken you just have to charge!

Looking forward to next month and more fun games. Thanks for the favorite votes, it inspires me to paint more!

The subject of 'douche bags' had come up and that always makes me think of Bill Murray, Harry Shearer and Buck Henry's sketch. And the gusto in which Garret Morris announces "Lord and Lady Douchebag." I had shared the SNL sketch and now have found it, and thus provided a link.

3 great games against 3 opponents!

Game 1 vs. Casey (Dark Eldar) - Mech Guard is so not a good matchup for Mech DEldar, so Casey gets a high sportmanship score for even agreeing to play this match. He then raises this by bunching up to allow both Manticores land triple barrages on target. Massacre for me.

Game 2 vs Josh (Grey Knights)- Proving that the multilaser is the most deadly weapon in the Guard arsenal, Josh fails nearly every save he's forced to take, including getting the Vindicare Assassin taken out by a heavy flamer. He also proves his excellent sportsmanship by deciding to play me with a 600 point handicap as his Land Raider + large Purifier group doesn't come in until turn 5. Of course the Raider secures the C&C objective, so I assume that was his plan all along. Draw.

Game 3 vs John (Grey Knights). I think I spent most of this game fighting the table as every time I bend down to check LOS, I ram my head into the very large buildings making up this board. John is kind enough not to laugh, which is his proof of excellent sportsmanship. This is a very close game that goes back and forth, but sadly ends too early on 5 for me to make up the inherent KP deficiency. Minor Loss.

So with three excellent opponents, I do the honorable thing and give my vote to myself and hope Travis doesn't notice. He doesn't and I come in tied for 3rd.

Multi-laser, ftw! Also, that game proved that you don't need to kill psyflemen if they can't do more than stun your chimeras!

Also, AV 10 is crazy survivable when it's not open-topped. I've seen land speeders live forever. It's not unreasonable that av10 with a constant 4+ would last a while.

Exactly. Totally OP. #Rage Quit.

I've had my psyfleman fail in an epic fashion on more than one occasion. It is always rather amusing to non-GK players, and rightly so. In my game with Erick I had a psyfleman get a single shot past a 3+ cover save and wreck his last Manticore. This was after it survived 3 shots from melta vets in the back arc...

HA! Off for the summer? I guess since school is over on Friday, grades due on Wed , the answer is technically yes but I am the director of the Summer Camp at the school and it runs for 6 weeks starting the Monday after school is out. So no, not really but the Camp doesn't require the same quantities of time so my availability is increased. We can figure out some time without too much difficulty.

Ya, I am really interested to see the new rule set and how it will translate into competitive play. Luckily I am sure Dis will dissect it in short order and have a framework set for the 2nd Saturday in July. The 1500 point soft format we discussed sounded good to me.
