Termies on foot have a 12" charge range at best. With one biker IC, this can be extended by about 4-5 inches. With two, you could extend it with around 10".

You do it like this:
1: Move termies 6" towards target
2: Split IC off from his bike-unit and drive him up 2" in front of the termies, joining them. You have now gained 2" (coherency) + 3" (base length - maybe it is 2,5"?).
2b: If you have more IC's nearby split off from their units and join the termie unit, 2" in front of the last IC. You have now extended your charge by a possible 2+3+2+3= 10"!
3: Charge the enemy. IC moves into contact with nearest enemy. All termies move up 6", not contacting enemy. However, enemy also moves up 6" to try to contact your termies, meaning that some of your guys should get into the fight.

Of course, it is very hard to get a 10" (or more with even more IC's) gain, but you can often easily get at least 5" extra.

In addition to the extra charge range, you are also likely to be stuck in close combat for a turn because many of your guys won't be able to hit = no getting shot in your opponents turn.

It can of course be risky for the IC, which may have to fight a round of combat almost alone.

This can also be done to less effect with jump pack IC's.

Can you explain this please?

IC can join a unit at the spot closest to the enemy unit that will be charged. If the IC is 2" coherency with his new unit, and the IC's base is roughly 3" long (due to him being on a bike)... then the unit are now effectively 5" closer to the enemy than they were before the IC joined them. The unit now has a charge range of 6" combined with their 6" move and the 5" gained from the IC joining up with them... the "slingshot" gives about a 17" threat range. This works the other way around as well... often seen with Orks who like to use scouting deffcoptas to slingshot biker warbosses into combat.

There is some contension on if this is legal or not. You definitely cannot do it with the biker attached to the terminators at the outset. But, what you do is move your terminators a full 6". You move your IC on a bike 12" to a point where he is within coherency of the terminators AND in assault range. He joins the terminators unit. As he is now part of the unit and in assault range, he will pull the terminators with him into assault. It is very situationally dependent, but it can extend your terminators assault range by the length of your IC model + 2".
