Armour facing doesn't have anything to do with the size of a model.

90 degree arcs dont suddenly become 35 degrees because of a different model.

Size? no. Shape, yes. A "more square" shape model will have a wider front arc (even on all sides, really) than a much "skinnier" one will.

Except you don't draw 90 degree arcs. You draw from the middle to the corners.

Actually 90 degree arcs can become 35 degrees because of a different model, if the model has a narrower shape, since you measure the arc from the corners of the model.

I personally would be pretty annoyed if someone wanted to do this (and I've played a guy using Lord of the Rings models as "proxies" for sisters of battle) but i can't say I'd have too big of an issue being able to pop his predator first turn due to LoS
