Since the tragedy on Rynn's World happens in 989.M41 and the last entry in the 5E rulebook is the 13thBC in 995.41 almost no time has passed. 6 years in a game universe that spans 10,000 is a drop in the bucket. So to answer your question: no, to answer what seems to be the larger question: "Can I have a
CF Emperor's Champion?" a resounding yes.

You do know the "Black Sword" isn't always a sword right? And it's not even a specific set of them, it's a symbol like a chaplain's Crozius. Even back when ECs were limited to the
BT Codex:Armageddon made it clear that the Black Sword was just a symbolic name for the weapon wielded by the
EC.
