Postie comes when he feels like it, and delivers what he feels like delivering.

If it's raining more heavily than a drop every now and then, and for more than 5mins, you aren't getting any post that day.

Parcels are 50/50; I've had some without any problems, and about an equal amount with, ranging from the classic "Attempted Delivery" slip being noiselessly inserted into the letterbox, to parcels inexplicably left inside recylcing bins the day before the bins are due to be collected, to Forgeworld orders being handed to neighbours who dislike you, and you not being told about it in any form and having no idea until you happen to be at the door and they happen to be leaving their house.

I'm also still waiting for a copy of World of Warcaft: Cataclysm I ordered when it came out in 2010.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I don't think it is royal mail as I ordered a rulebook the other day and it arrived promptly but I live in Sussex so maybe it is a local problem.

From my experience it depends on the postman, some are good whilst others aren't.

I share a house with a few others so whenever one of us is expecting a parcel we usually leave a note on the door for the postman to ring one of the other doorbells for somebody who is in, works quite well. Luckily enough one of my housemates works at the delivery office from which our mail is sent, though funnily enough that is on the other side of the city despite the fact that we're next door to the main sorting office.
