You must be using the Rune Priest model as a Wolf Priest, which make that model illegal to use as a Wolf Priest. Unless you clarify with your opponent that its actually a Wolf Priest and he has a Power Maul not an Axe.
I believe there is no rule that states you have to use the OFFICIAL GW MODEL! NO CONVERSIONS! NO KIT BASHES! IF WE DON'T HAVE IT SUCKS TO BE YOU! This game is also a hobby so if the person wants to make a Wolf Priest he can, and since there is no model to base it on, he can choose which Power weapon to use.
no, but you do have to model the dude with the proper wargear.
If you scrath build is now illegal, well, sucks to be you.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines
Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

Yeah I added "Until they FAQ it" to my text. As of now if its not in the FAQ as a Power Maul, or uses the same as rules as the C: SM they have to follow the "look at the model and see what it has" clause. No model means they cant see what type of power weapon it has, So that either means you chose which one to use or just ignore the weapon (no power weapon for you WP)

regular marines dont have a close combat weapon AND a pistol? for two close combat weapons?
No, they have boltguns and CCW. No bolt pistols.
Um, vanilla marines have a boltgun, a bolt pistol and no CCW.
I dont have the rulebook in front of me a the moment, but i am almost positive that it says you only the +1 attack if have BOTH a close combat weapon and pistol.
My bad, my brain is still absorbing all the new rules.
