I'm a believer in "underdone" beats overdone every time.
Those take "overdone" to the nth degree and ramp it up into grimdark levels of overdone.
In a merc-scavenged remote, that's fine. For a major power, and given the "clean lines" shown by all YJ stuff prior to the Pangguling, it's hitting parody levels of "taking the piss".
I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

I like the new remotes too although chromedogs comment about the ugly tree made me chuckle.
I like weathering on Infinity minis but it might be overdone here, I agree. It clashes a bit with the sleek exterior. The Jotum, for example, looks better being a bit weathered up.

There are so many options in every army that it is almost impossible not to find your 10 choices.
Very good points!
Also, I'm getting the feeling that there's no Raicho this month.
I'm also getting a sinking feeling that if we don't see it before the new book hits, it might be a long, long time before we do!

I'd like to see the Cutter remade with BALL jointed arms - like the armoured cav TAG has. HELL, ALL TAGS having ball jointed limbs would be an improvement.
Would make reposing it from the "haters gonna hate" stroll somewhat easier.

I'm pretty surprised I'm getting so much lately for Yu Jing. I just wish I could afford it :(
I think Mercs are going to become an official faction with the new book. Otherwise why would they come out with McMurrough? Yes the old one was bad and not up to new standards but they didn't need to do it at all. But so far we have Druze, a boxed set that can only be used by a Haqqislam sectoral, and coming out a Mercenary TAG, and new Merc group with Kaplan.
EDIT: Also, new stuff on their FB page that I can't be bothered to rehost the pictures for.
McMurrough Knight of the Holy Sepulchre (Spitfire) Yáoxiè Remotes Ekdromoi (Combi Rifle)
2nd EDIT: Slightly earlier in the month than recently, it would seem. Looks like they might be trying to work towards releases actually being in the right month
3rd EDIT: Can I link straight to FB images?

Damn, I so hope the vidoe means the Book coming out this month.
Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.
Man #1: Bob, there's nothing you can do.
Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

That's the problem with Infinity, if you ask me. Sure everything is cheap, but you just want all of it.....
Part of me wants to do an Aquila Guard army, another a Regeneration based Haqqislam force, a Combined Army force, and as always a Merc force. Not so much Arid or Nomads, but Aleph is starting to look appealing, as well.

Ya I don't think of it as a problem but I think my wallet would disagree. I had to stop looking at the Miniatures page cause every time I do I see more and more stuff that I want to buy and I've only just started collecting. I have 10 figs for Ariadna and 8 figs for Panoceania Military Orders(technically my wifes) but I want pretty much all the factions and to be able to play any sectorial.

More likely "are essentially AD Myrmidons". I'd bet it's a unit, rather than a character.
All the named characters created by ALEPH have been recreations, and the name is a common noun - Ekdromoi (or "out-runners") were Greek citizen-soldiers, not a single entity. The other thing to point out is that, excepting some Mercs, it's rare for named characters to wear helmets.

I know what you mean, I'm working on my 2nd force at the moment and am already starting to think about my 3rd and 4th!
At least it is something that you have the option to do, and not a necessity. One of my gaming friends who isn't into gaming as much just simply bought a starter set and a couple of blisters, and left it at that.
Regarding Mercs, isn't that faction already a possibility? I thought the rules allowed you to choose 0-1 of another faction's list, and make a force that way. I thought it might be cool to make some kind of Nomad/space pirate list doing something like that.

Mercs allow you to take up to three other armies and kind of bash them together into one, along with Merc units. While I would prefer to make a Merc Army with nothing but Mercs, I need a whole lot more choices before that can happen.

The video can be summed up as a political promise.
Full of noise and flash but containing nothing of substance. (Date is my Mum's birthday though.)
What's with all these " logo and date" "Teaser" videos lately, anyway?
We've known for a while that book three was going to be out this year sometime. Maybe that's just when they will make an announcement that they were pulling our legs and were kidding about the whole thing.

The point of the video is that on the 03/08/12 they will be (probably) making an announcement about a new product that will be out a few weeks later (Gencon).
As it is, it's about as useful as GW's one that had the 6th ed pre-release orders will be taken date on it.
