The two lists I found to like on here after skimming over them is the 9 war walkers or 66 boyz. Both seemed legit.

Sisters of Battle might actually be interesting if you spam Retributer Squads. There isn't much at 400 points that can withstand that many rending heavy bolters

Well you could do Chaos a few different ways I guess. You could go with heavies and load up on either Vindicators, Defilers or Havoc Squads. All would be viable threats. Berzerkers got nerfed pretty hard so I would hesitate about using them. Thousand Sons would be despicable at that point level because nothing could get saves against them unless they had an invul of some sort or were in cover.

I would have to see the victory conditions, or is it all the mission rules?

If it was just a blood bath, last one on the table (or most points on the table at the end or something), I would do a Storm Raven with Purifiers inside, and maybe a rhino t to sit out of sight so you don't loose from no models on the board at the end of a turn. Rhino's are big though, so maybe another model worth about the same (don't have my codex).

Otherwise, if normal missions, then I'd have to think about it more and have my codex with me to reference.

Plan C:
4 Beastmasters w/ 5 Khymerae & 6 Razorwing Flocks 198
4 Beastmasters w/ 5 Khymerae & 6 Razorwing Flocks 198

Plan C would probably win the most. Put the beastmasters in front and use look out sir to choose whether your khyermae or razorwings take the shooting wounds. Then massively assault everything.

Confirmed rules, apologies for the time taken - had a heavy few days

Game one – 40-40 kill team

400 pts
40” x 40” Board set up
40 Minute time limit
Animosity Kill Team/Zone Mortalis rules
Animosity Kill Team force org

The game represents the first contact between opposing forces and therefore is designed to be played as a fast paced skirmish. A time limit is in place for play only. Players must be deployed when the countdown begins. Infiltrators/scout moves etc, are carried out as normal. Animosity Kill Team force organisation consists of NO – HQ, Vehicles or Armour Saves which better Power Armour (2+ saves basically). Walkers may be used. Animosity Kill Team does not split units into individuals. Any actions involving tunnels, space craft etc, will use a variation of the zone mortalis rule set created by Forgeworld. These rules will be made available at a later date.

Just confirming exactly what the Animosity Force Org is, though I'm pretty sure it's as muh of whatever you want, minus the restrictions mentioned above

9 Scatter Laser eldar war walkers will not work. At the cheapest they can be, @ 40 pts a piece they would have to run Shuriken Cannons, with 40 pts to spare for an extra weapon here or there.

I would play Codex Space Marines:
200 - 10 Man Tactical Squad, Plasma Cannon, Flamer, Sargeant w/ Powerfist
200 - 10 Man Tactical Squad, Plasma Cannon, Flamer, Sargeant w/ Powerfist

what else would you need? In a game without many vehicles, that is (not sure too much how to deal with Eldar War walkers, though ... Assault?)

That, or for Eldar ...

200 - 6 Guardian Jetbikes, 2 with Shuriken Cannons, Warlock with Singing Spear
200- 6 Guardian Jetbikes, 2 with Shuriken Cannons, Warlock with Singing Spear

Great mobility and firepower, however, poor leadership tests as no room for embolden ... however you can be anywhere on the board with the bikes if only 40x40! Plus you have lots of twin linked, and still S9 on the Singing Spears vs vehicles.

Past armies 4500 pts, 4000 pts 2000 pts
current armies Space Marines 4000 pts, Eldar 3000 pts
