Yep. AFAIK, they weren't locked into the same hardcore leases as some of the other stores - so as soon as their short one was up, they were out of there. Next door to a comic store and across the road (at the time) from the local SF fantasy bookstore. Geek central.

Yeah, I work in Parramatta now, and when I went hunting for the GW, I was more pleased to find it next to a Phantom Zone than actually finding the GW store. I haven't been in a Phantom Zone in over a decade.

I used to go to the hurstville store before it closed, now I go to the Sydney city store...

Most of the staff are pretty friendly with a few exceptions here and there. I'm usually up for a game if anyone wants to cream my Tyranid list

Apparently a bunch of casuals in the Adelaide stores have been given their DCMs (notice). Rumours are that they are shifting over to the one-man operations here as well.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Lol the cairns gw is funny cause the employees call gw hq and they don't even know the store exists. Just one of the benefits of being the most isolated gw in the world or something rediculous like that.
