They're not that cheesy anymore. Still a very competitive army but they have been toned down a bit in 6th ed. Necrons are now the biggest cheese going around. You simply can't take any vehicles of any sort against them anymore. Gauss weapons, entropic strike, warscythes, etc just blow the heck out of them.

I had hoped that the GK cheese crying would have ended with at 6th. Unfortunately, it looks like it's been eclipsed by the thorough ball-kicking the DE got.

On topic: Deathwing or any other Terminator heavy army (Paladins and Black Templars spring to mind.) With three squads of Terminators, Belial and one Dreadnought I have a good 1200 point army. It didn't cost much - Ebay is your friend.

I don't buy local from GW.... cause we don't have one here. Bulk buys or conversion replacements and the like for GW models (got some great counts as DCA conversions the other day) are things I'll go to ebay or the internet for but for a single tank or what have you? If you're gonna buy it new any way it's worth it to buy local and keep your local store open. Especially if you play there.

I can still ship outside of Europe. Sure the savings are not as large as they where pre the embargo. I sell at UK high street prices with no discount. This is still considerably less that Oz prices.

So... Grey Knights... I read the codex... So it's an army of Psykers with anti-Psyker with Terminators as a Default troop choice. That just means that every Terminator that dies is worth roughly 50-100 points. and you'll have like nothing out there.

Chaos can do the same thing and get insane Invuln save through Tzeentch and still have lots of points. I also like their Psyker powers better and I think that I would rather not have every unit have Psyker powers. Also flying monstrous Demons are awesome.

You say "every terminator that dies" like it's a common occurance. 6th ED is Terminatorhammer. And besides, why would they be 100 points? If you're taking a standard terminator squad that far, you're probably doing too much.

Lol Keep thinking it is TerminatorHammer. They still die to volumes of fire/CC attacks. The only boost Terminators really got were for shooty ones without the shield....they can now survive a couple rounds of hth, but still die in droves to plasma.

If you did want to go the Terminator route, BA terminators with sang priest gives you the FNP save on top of the 2+/3++. Templarnators and Wolf Guard can currently take drop pods, so they can get across the board quicker and not take that firepower.
