Which is why primary tactic is a suicide charge/deep strike and hit them hard with Multi-meltas. Its a messy tactic, I know, but the alternative is flitting around the Land Speeders and just firing missiles (which would take time and patience). The rest of the army I can take care of with hit-and-run strikes with Bikes...just have to be real patient, except with the tanks. Those HAVE to go, and fast.

Okay, gotcha. If you play foot Blob guard, don't get tied up with a blob. It get messy pretty fast. You'll kill a metric ton of guardsmen, but they seem to have more where it comes from, or atleast thats how I played my blobs.

It's just incredibly satisfying to finally get rid of those parking lot lamers. Seeing their smile fade away is pure gold. Their bitter tears fill my metal heart with joy.

I hear you. The friend I play most often is a dedicated IG player and I have suffered regular uphill battles against him.

This kind of firepower most certainly will not struggle to take down vehicles of any kind. Honestly, 9 or so melta shots is enough to take out any flyer, and this list has 26. And blob guard is solidly tier three in 6th ed.

wwwooowwww, my well rounded fluffy SM list would take this DOWN in less than 5. If its anything with objectives, I would have autowin for sure. That would be WITHOUT any bikes OR LS.

I am inclined to agree. Those Chimeras would be easy prey for Devastators with Missile Launchers, and a Dreadnought and an Assault Squad deep-striking in the right places would pretty much let the Tactical Squads walk up to the objectives with no opposition whatsoever.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

Yes I did in 5th. I ran by Foot Blob guard and smoked it. Hard. He didn't have enough shots to kill me. and when he castled in one courner I Al' Rahemed him. It was brutal.

No one's saying Blob Guard wouldn't work...but this list kinda seems...unbalanced.

my necron army welcomes your "overlords" to the game.

- have a bunch of tesla destructers.
- have a bunch of str 5 tesla carbine shots.
- how about an overlord sweeping your russ... awwww camo cloak+aegis line? not gonna work here. say boooooom!

your gaurd army "overlords" are weak and pathetic, they get shot down easy, by stuff that costs less then them, and are more effective. they wont kill nearly enough to make points back, and 90% of those units cant even claim objectives.

/end troll

IG haven't been buffed nearly as much as Newcrons. It's as if the purpose of the rulebook was to make Newcrons the new GKs. Also, the new optimized Guard is Chiplasmavets and shooty blobs. Chimeltavets have met their end.

Wow, reading through the first page of this thread, I could really imagine an argument between a Necron Overlord (Sigvatr) and an Imperial Commander (androcles138), with a brief intercession by an Ork Warboss (Jidmah )
