Ah. Too late. FFXII and FFXII-2 were on a bargain...so I picked them up.

But seeing as I got them both for under £30 (not each, £30 for both) It can't hurt.

I will check on Playstation Store for 7 though.

I'm going to guess you mean FFXIII and FFXIII-2, as there was no FFXII-2. Final Fantasy XII was a great game, and one of the better FF's in a long while.

Yeah, must have made a typo. Started on 13, the graphics are gorgeous and the voice acting is better than I'd expected. The combat system is odd, but that's probably because I am used to more generic games where you only control 1 character.

Yeah, I wish I had a reverse-compatible PS3 so I could play it again.

You only control one character (at a time) in FF13 but you can, like a team leader, tell your teammates what kind of strategy they should employ.

Yeah, I'm not used to the strategy element, I'm used to things like Darksiders and Bayonetta, which is probably not terribly helpful.

I do like the battle system, and I am glad it isn't another button masher like so many RPGs are, although having to break into one every minute is slightly irritating (but not irritating enough to put me off the game).

I've just started controlling Snow. He's nowhere near as annoying as I'd heard, and Lightning is an excellent character.

Also, as mentioned before, the visuals are stupendous.

I wish that Square had kept the combat system from XII; it had only as much depth as you wanted it to have, and made the experience more seamless than other FF games.
I wasn't feeling the story as much but it was by no means poor. A return to XII's style of gameplay would not be a backwards step in terms of quality, in my opinion.

You need to get you a iphone or ipad and play the remakes of Final Fantasy I and Final Fantasy Tactics. Just look at these comparison screen shots:

As for the others, I liked Final Fantasy VI, VII, VII, VII, X, and XII a lot. A lot of people didn't care for XII, but for some reason I did.
