There's no "apply common sense".

It's a FMC. Skyfire works against FMCs. Where's your issue?

imo, FMC=FMC, as its current action does not change what unit type it is(it doesnt lose its abilty to fly later on if it glides does it). A FMC may choose not to "fly," but if the rulebook says skyfire gets full BS against FMC unti type i think the hydras will shoot at Full BS.
