ARMY CODE: Army Infinity v.3.0.

You are over the 200 points so you'll need to adjust your list a little
Otherwise it sounds good, might lack a little punch though

I...I....son of a...well done VSF, wouldnt have noticed it otherwise...

You definitely need to lose those 2 points, and i agree, theres nothing heavy in this list other than Duroc and the (2shot only) Panzerfaust to take down anything big. you have also lost the Loup-Garou's big winner..the viral rifle!

O and no Lt in that list either....

It gives an error when you enter a sectorial list in vanilla.
Would be nice if Army builder gave some kind of notice other than some random letters haha

Yeah i got the errors, but nothing to tell me why...although i should have realised from the odd messages i was getting.

I think I would remove the rifle moblot and add a Metro HMG
You get a cheap 5 man link team to threathen the front while Duroc and Margot mess up a flank
And make a metro the lieutenant, I guess it won't be easy to kill the lieutenant if he is hidden among 3 other metros and a 5 man link team get +3 BS and +1 Burst so AROs can be lethal.

But I really recommend playing some vanilla games before trying link teams

Blegh, figured it from the high cost, well, no matter that list link doesn't work, back to the lab Egor!

and yes I figured aggressive Lts weren't common, and a tank hunter which A. seems a pain to find, and B. a pain to kill would probably seem a lot more likely then the scout who's going to find herself a nice hide to poke holes in helmets after donating some land mines to the terrain.

Though I gotta admit I'm speculative about how mines work, I haven't gotten there in the rules yet and it seems difficult to simulate in a table top strategy game. The opponent will know where they are and be able to avoid them, even if their minis don't have them detected...

Edit: and this is why I like the modular build plan I've been working out with a base squad of li to be Kazaks or Metros and then attaching specialists. I can build up, play with a fun vanilla army, and expand in to a sectorial without having to buy all new li.

Where the sun crosses the field of blood.

It's simple: mines are area denial. You put down a mine, and now your opponent either has to spend time to neutralize it, go around it, or run into it and hope for the best.

And some units (Chasseurs for example) have access to the minelayer special skill.
What it means is that model can deploy a mine in their zone of control. So you get an additional camo marker on the board and the opponent can't know for sure if it's a mine or not.

That's fantastic, and I can think of a lot of rather nasty ways to work with that, every second the mines are hanging someone up is another second to ventilate them.

Von any opinions on the other two possible counts as from Statuesque?

You mean these ?

As any skirmisher with rifle

As any skirmisher sniper

I can easily see these 2 proxied as Scout/SAS/Foxtrot/Chasseur
These units all pretty much have the same style so it would be all good
Although, I would not proxy SAS. I love these 2 minis way too much for that =P

(Is that the kind of answer you expected =P ?)

Why yes, yes it was ^^ and if I wasn't apparently going for some kind of girl power theme I'd be perfectly happy with the normal SAS minis. They are very awesome for men in ski masks and sweaters

So I added up the cost for ALL THE THINGS. Which is to say everything for my original "basic" list and for the sectoral Merovingians

....my god man it's full of stars! Which is to say not brutally mugging me for my lunch money for the next couple months! Which is awesome! Even after the paint I can't complain!

No release date yet, but they confirmed a resculpt of Uxia
So you might have a woman wearing the same sweater =P And a shotgun =)

The great thing (or not so great) is that you can quickly build a playable force for much less than most miniature game.
But you can quickly spend a lot of money because there are way too many great models =P

Hahah yeah XD looks like my total force so far is about $124, but it'll probably go up a model's worth for the sake of having an actual Loup Garou sniper instead of forcing my Scout to pull double duty... and because the Loup Garou are really cool.

All the models seem like a joy to paint, but the fuzzy half of Mirage-5 comes off as a serious challenge... I've never tried to paint fur before.

Haha yes, I'm not a great painter but still can't wait for the moment my 9 Loup-Garous are all painted =)

And 124$ for being able to field two 300 points army is great =)
And you have quite a couple different options if you want to play smaller games

I'll let others give you tips to paint fur =P

Yeah I think I'm going to hold off... feth that's what I want to say, especially with something like 40 odd sisters of battle to paint XD

but knowing me I'll be placing a bulk order from Corvus Belli this next pay check.

Well it's $124 of actual infinity models, I think it's roughly $150 with the Statuesque minis.

150$ with Statuesque ? Are you ordering more than the 5 you showed ?

I know how that feels, I got whole a big army of Imperial guard and a big army of Dark Eldars. Some small armies from 3-4 other factions.

Total painted :
5 Imperial guard infantry
1 space marine
1 ork
1 necron

haha

And 1 painted SAS !
4 more infinity models nearly done =P

The rules are free, but the book have all the fluff and are the best miniature books you will ever own.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.

Until tomorrow, the 2 books are at 50% off (although shipping might be really bad)
Both books are worth it imo (Second edition Rulebook and Human Sphere)
And at the end of september, the 3rd book (Campaign : Paradiso) will be full of goodies too.

But yeah, rules are free but if you want the fluff and great rulebooks, you owe it to yourself to buy these =P

Shipping is really terrible from CB.
Might be worth it to buy the books from a US retailer
Check out Discount games store

No idea how much time it takes to order Infinity (it's their first time making Infinity order)
But the discount might be worth it. And the shipping is usually free in the US.

Annnnnnnnnd I lied to myself.

Got all my minis and the Human Sphere book around $150 shipped on ebay. Lotus Games seems to have everything and /very/ nice shipping polices. Discount just has the starter packs. Now to get the Statuesque minis and I'm in business!

I figure worst case scenario I have some awesome minis to paint and I can use them for SciFi RPGs or a diorama.

Update:

So I started assembling my minis, I'll get the comparison photo on the Statuesque Resistance fighters and S.O.E. up in a couple minutes but they like great! Little more slender then the average lady in Infinity but that's clearly armor vs. a jacket. So they do do a lot better as Metros then Kazaks as someone suggested.

I have to admit the minis in general are driving me insane... the metal minis are not playing nicely with me for assembly! Thankfully I only have a pair of tank hunters, 911, and a loup garou left in the maddening process that is gluing.
