A couple questions on the revised list. Any reason for keeping the chaplain? With the current codex, they really aren't that scary and are overpriced for what they do. You can get a dreadnought with assault cannon and heavy flamer for 15 pts less, and greatly increase your killing. The downside of course is they're an easy target so use cover wisely! Alternatively you can go with the TL autocannon and missile launcher combo and use it for light AV hunting.

Since you're foot slogging now, you're going to want to add a HW to all your DW. The CML is a steal at 20pts, and has the dual purpose of AV and anti-infantry, as well as double the range of the AC. 10 missiles a turn is nothing to sneeze at, and you will have mech armies shaking in their tanks.

Last question: Why didn't mixing CC and shooty termies work out for you? Not enough firepower?

~5000+ pts (95% Deathwing )

No real reason to keep the chaplain now that you mention it. I'll take a look at a dreadnought to see if that will fit.

Yeah, not enough firepower in my opinion. Although the SS came in handy when I really needed them to as I faced a MEQ-killer Eldar army in that game. Tough call on that one and I'm really not sure which way to go to be honest.

List edited yet again.

If you need more CML bits. I found these for only 77 cents!
The turret for this reaper mini tank is just a little bit smaller than GW CML, I've got ten of them for my 50 terminators.

Awesome suggestion! Thanks for sharing that, it looks like it would be the best way to go.

I would probably still keep some SS in a few of the squads, it seems your squads will be more susceptible to fire now. I would think at least one per squad would help, although it would be tricky with the new wound allocations.

I always make sure I have two TH/SS standing in the front of each squad so I can get a 3+ invul from lascannons and meltas. One of those is always my sergeant so I can take on anyone in a challenge with a TH/SS.
This has worked out great for me.

Go for mostly SS/TH you'll live longer, then I like an LC or 2 to boost cc.

Then stormbolters are not that useful. You'll find that you aim your missiles at something, then it is luck whether the bolter is in range and suitable.

All squads could really do with the CML, give him a SS/TH to keep alive.

Sometimes termies with CMLs enough. Personally I find it isn't enough fire power, maybe take a couple of dreads or vindicators or even preds.
Still no idea how deathwing are meant to handle flyers(allies and fortifications seem the only answers.)

Good luck
