In combat they are decent. Nothing special thought. But the point is you just won't get them to combat in any kind of fighting shape. There is no good delivery method. Walking is a bad choice. And transport is also bad. The transport will take a round of fire and quite possibly an assault due to the proximity you will have to be in. If you want to spend 160+ pts on a banshee squad and put then in a 100+ pt transport..... That's just a waste of points to me. That's 260 pt minimum could very easily be better spent on a pimped out squad on harleyquins.

Theer is at least one Exarch Banshee model with a pwoer axe that I have.......and agree if you convert a model to having axes or mauls - thats what they have, thats both the RAW and Rules as intendended as far as i can see - can always have a couple of each in the unit.

"Unimaginably ancient xenos artefact somewhere on the planet, hive fleet poised above our heads, hidden 'stealer broods making an early start....and now a bloody Chaos cult crawling out of the woodwork just in case we were bored. Welcome to my world, Ciaphas."
Inquisitor Amberley Vail, Ordo Xenos

"I will admit that some Primachs like Russ or Horus could have a chance against an unarmed 12 year old novice but, a full Battle Sister??!! One to one? In close combat? Perhaps three Primarchs fighting together... but just one Primarch?" da001
