Put the Chapter Master in Terminator Armor. Now he can fire the Bombardment on the move through the new Relentless (Before you say anything, go look at the wording of Relentless in the rulebook, it implies that he can fire it on the move). However, note that you're using a combat character in a non-combat army, unless you're building your list to be sitting closer than 48" all day.

Orbital strike relay can only be fired if the unit did not moved, if you're speaking about it.

The best thing to give a Space Marine Captain / Chapter Master...... a day off.

I fail to see the point in taking either when Chaplains and Librarians are so much better..... for a lot cheaper.

If you do have your heart set on one though then the bike or terminator armour are really the only ways worth going, artificer armour is an option too but to be perfectly honest having him in terminator armour is probably the better shout in that scenario.

I agree with that. The real advantage that artificer armor has here is in tactics. If the planned usage ends up with the Captain in a Rhino/Razorback, you get the 2+ sv and get the auto 4++ from the Iron Halo. (or is it 5++? I don't have my codex handy.)

Of course, if you're running a bike army the Captain is a necessity, and the artificer armor can greatly help keep him alive.

I do tend to speak ill of the humble captain sometimes, but as Ricedaddy mentioned when it comes to a bike army he is really essential.

I just tend to favour librarians and chaplains more as I find them more fun to use, but if you do go down the captain/chapter master road then I'd take the advice of Ricedaddy and the others as they have listed the better builds.
