Give the Warboss some upgraded version of the WAAAGH! Was thinking perhaps the army gains FNP against Overwatch fire, or maybe give his unit +1WS for the turn. Also more options, like Snazzguns or a bigger melee armoury. Finally, let me field a proper Biker list without Wazzdakka or Nobz for troops.
Big Mek gets more toys. Maybe let him choose a discipline, from things like Forcefields, Blasty guns or Tellyports etc. Also very much wishlisting, but it would be lovely if he could give an extra HS/FA slot, provided it were used for a vehicle. Just to squeeze in that extra unit of Warbuggies.
'Weirdboy' exists in 2 flavours: Elite slot of 1-3, or the Warp 'Ead as an HQ. Some form of upgrades would be nice.
Reintroduce the Painboss as a 4th HQ choice. Forms a nice contrast of the Meks cover save against the Painboss FNP and Cybork options.
Lootas move to Heavy Support and should probably be reduced to S6. On the upside, give them some options like a laser beam or Flak guns.
Tankbustas get more weapon options, especially the Nob. Things like a Tankslagga (Shotgun with radioactive ammo), some form of deployable mines or a Barrage Rokkit. Would be nice to have an upgrade for Eavy Armour as well.
Burna Boyz to get some Skorchas in the unit, perhaps 1-in-5. Also personal preference, but I'd like the option for a Nob. Maybe incendiary grenades / bombs, and definitely a dedicated transport.
Sluggas and Shootas both get heaps of new wargear upgrades. Maybe give a 'special' and 'heavy' list, so 2-in-10 get the good kit.
Shootas should be all about the Dakka. Give them some Dakkagun upgrades for short range TL, and let the Nob have a Snazzgun.
Sluggas could gain access to Burnas along with melee upgrades like the Tankhammer or Boomstick (Some form of blast template used in combat). They could also do with a slight buff to be brought inline with Shootas. Perhaps restore +1 Initiative or hit at AP5 on the charge?
Also, extreme wishlisting, but perhaps give Lootas, Burnas and Tankbustas the 'Mob Up!' rule, where 1-in-3 can leave the parent unit and become attached to a Troop unit, provided it is big enough. For example, a 30-man Shoota mob could support 0-3 Specialists. Imagine a 33-Slugga mob with 6 Burnas and 3 Eavy weapons, or 33 Shootas with 3 Deffguns, 3 Big Shootas and 3 Dakkaguns.
'Ard Boyz become arder. Maybe they could have some form of riot shield as a 'special weapon' to soak hits, and of course remove the 0-1 restriction.
Skarboys could also be returned to the list, essentially being a Boy with S4 and I3. Expanded access to melee upgrades at the expense of Big Shootas/Rokkits.
Fast Attack is already in a wonderful place as far as I'm concerned. Stormboyz could do with a slight price reduction and the Blitz/Burna Bomma could do with tweaking, but really the only issue is a lack of FOC choices to take what I like.
Looted Wagon could do with size classes and expanded access as a Dedicated Transport. Things like Rhino Chassis (11/11/10), Hellhound (12/11/10) or Battle Tank (13/11/10).
Squiggoth as an option would be fun.
Big Guns could do with a larger battery (1-5) and I'd like to see one-per-battery be upgraded to a Bigga Gun. Think a Big Lobba (S6/5" blast), Tanksmasha Kannon (S9/Ord) and Extra Juicy Zzap Gun (Higher strength/D3 shots).
On that note, Zzap Guns need to be redone altogether. I was thinking something like S(8-D3), AP(D3), Heavy (D3) with a single dice used to determine all 3 stats, and Gets Hot slapped on the end.
Flash Gits, I would start at Assault 2 and just make a massive list of upgrades, organised into gun components. Allow you to truly make the Snazzgun of your dream. For example:
Ammo- Heavy Bore (+1S), Blasta (AP reduced by 1) or perhaps even a Blast option.
Barrel- Extended (+12" range), Sawnoff (-6" range but gain TL) or More Barrels (+1 shot)
Targetting- More Scopes (+1 BS, Heavy), Gitfinda (Ignore Cover) or Heatseeka (Reroll misses against vehicles)
Maybe bung a few Kombi-Rokkits onto them to polish it off and I think they would be great.
