Sorry it took me so long to get back on here (painting a battle force takes time) but I think some people misinterpreted what I said...my friend and I mostly play casual, we don't frequent tournaments in any of the games we play because we don't like competitive play - not to say we aren't good enough for it, one of the few tournaments I've gone to I stomped a guy so badly he never showed up again - we just prefer playing for fun and flavor reasons

like with the warlord trait, for us our warlords are characters - my lord commissar has a name, and a personality and a back story - and I don't want to roll for a table and get some trait where she gets 1 extra victory point whenever she kills a character - she isn't a Blood for the Blood God type haha - so I always just use the same warlord trait, the above mentioned "conquerer of cities" because my Guard Army has a Russian theme and I like how city fighting ties into that theme. Now we don't have a single building for terrain yet - so that warlord trait is semi-useless at this point - but I just prefer to have that always listed on my army trait because that's my character.

I was wondering if anyone else has house rules like this or if I was just a heretic haha

We also give our individual models battle honors, for instance my friend that plays space marines won't give his guys any of the battle honors the marines wear until that specific mini does something to earn it...like one-shotting a chimera with a plasma pistol....

When asked by a German Officer to surrender his forces at Mortain, Lieutenant Kerley of the 30th Infantry Division replied by saying "Go f**k yourself."
How have you served your country today?

Thats pretty cool actually, at least your not spaming say immovable object, your choice isnt always useful but fits.

I don't make the rules, I just think them up and write them down.
