I actually like how I can tell the Dwarves apart. In the animated version of the Hobbit I had issues with identification.

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

Well, to be fair, that's actually true to the original, IIRC. In the book the similarity of the dwarves was played for humor, and it wasn't a problem, because the author could always refer to them by name if needed, which doesn't work so well in a visual medium.

They do still look like Dwarves.

The height thing isn't obvious when everyone involved is 4ft(excluding Gandalf)

Gandalf's just going to look freakishly tall when the dwarves are actually short.

Winter's Bone was a better Jennifer Lawrence vehicle.

Oh no, sorry. It was just a darn good film, starring her.

Trailer for Hobbit roxxors my boxxors. Not quite as hard as the first one did, but I'm a sucker for a good song. Everything looks good to me. Even though I'm not 100% on all of the dwarves, I try to bear in mind that Tolkien's didn't exactly fit the mold D&D has cast partially from Tolkien's work.

Yep. Also ther Hobbit was a much more light hearted book. I'm hoping a lot of that makes it into the movies and its not LOTR II - Now with more depression.

Very nice! I can't wait to see this.

... I'm wondering about the fellow riding the rabbit-drawn sled through the forest - surely that can't be Beorn? I'm thinking it must be Tom Bombadil - I know Jackson wanted to expand upon the original story to tie it more closely with the Trilogy, but Tom was never in that film (that I can remember). Curious....

I believe that's a certain brown wizard

Radagast was known for his affinity with birds.

In Japanese, the counter word for birds is also used for rabbits.

Thus it was proved.
