I kind of wonder if this empty chair thing will extend past this campaign year. Freedom of speech means being able to tell uppity bloggers to feth off.

I wonder if it could be considered legal harassment, not of the President, but of people that live on the street.

Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.

Ah, good old freedom of speech.

I can't tell you how many people I have watched sober up instantly when they see a secret service badge. Always makes my day.

People who "lynch" a chair are racist dill weeds without brains.
How many people have you seen the Secret Service interview?

That seems odd to me. The only time I've ever seen the SS was when the POTUS came to visit.

I find the humor in the people perceiving the secret racism, but it looks like we're close enough.

I was surprised that we have a Secret Service branch in Oklahoma City, but it turns out they have an office here. I think our cops said it was due to the Kansas City Federal Reserve bank having a branch here, and I think they deal with electronic crimes as well.

But it seems that sometimes drunk idiots just think it is a smart idea to walk into a federal facility and start ranting and raving about how they are going to shoot up the POTUS.

Last guy was a classic example:

Brought to our ER by the local PD because he was drunk and threatening his girlfriend. While we are trying to get him worked up so that psychiatry can see him he starts becoming combative with us, so we call our police officers to assist (common mistake that many people make is thinking that we have security guards, they don't realize that our facility is protected by actual federal cops). Guy becomes a bit more cooperative but keeps on talking to the cops about how this is all bullcrap and that once he gets out of here he will take his guns, drive up to DC, and kill Obama. Our cops tell him that they will have to forward that thread to the SS and guy laughs about it and tells them to go ahead since they are full of crap anyway.

30 minutes later they escort some guys in suits through the ER who sit down with the guy and try to talk to him. Drunk guy cusses them out and tells them to feth off and asks them "who do you think you are anyway". They tell him SS and he just tells them "bullcrap". Guy in suit takes out badge, drunk guy is now instantly sober and suddenly manages to be nothing but polite.

It was just a wonderful conversation. "So do you have a car?" "why..." "Because you said that you are going to drive it to DC." "I have a car..." "Make, model, color, license plate info please."

Best part was when he was medically cleared to go to county jail, now somewhat sober he asked one of our cops "I just applied for a job with the US Marshal Service, do you think this is going to hurt my chances?"

I just applied to the Marshals and threatened to kill the president. Classic

Beleive it or not there's at least one SS office in every state, it has less to do with the Federal Reserve, it's not unconnected of course, and more to do with just how much work the SS does.

Which is a big part of the reason I don't like that they are in DHS. The FBI remained in DoJ at least the financial crimes division of the SS should have remained in DoT.

I think, just to prove that this jerk is on his own we go to the White House lawn and set up a bunch of lower case t's - for tolerance. And then set them on fire so everyone can see them.
