Both the Vendetta and the Vulture are stellar anti-air units, although the Vulture can't touch AV12 if it's got a TL Punisher Cannon. The Vendetta is just stupidly good though.

You've got the Vulture up twice though.

As cool as the assault ram is, so cool I even bought one, it cannot shoot against other flyers, only ram them, both of its weapons are templates the magna melta and the missiles which are one use only, I think it would miss out in this, it does get a 5up save from front armour though

On the other hand, ramming with an AV 13 vehicle that can move 36" a turn AND gets an "ordnance" attack is a pretty effective weapon when a ramming attack automatically hits.

It rams at the end of the movement phase same as a tank shock/ram, is my understanding correct?

Then you can shoot two templates at massed troops, have yet to use mine but looking forward to it!

woops, that I do, I'll go take out the bottom one. Almost no one voting eldar fliers :/

wonder if it's just not popular enough yet. The stats on them seem pretty legit though probably still over costed for their AV10. Good weapons on them at least. 2 lances, 6, str 6 shots at bs4.

I mean the remora tau fighters seem like decent anti-air, they got crazy stealth shielding and you can get like 2-3 of them for the price of some of the other fliers, is it just the bs3 (edit forgot they had targeting arrays) keeping them down?

Remoras are terrible. They're incredibly overpriced (their point cost was set years ago and still hasn't been fixed), you get some decent protection but it's wasted on a unit with pitiful firepower. So you pay almost as much as a Barracuda for a tiny fraction of the firepower, and then you don't even get to use the stealth fields because no sane opponent is going to bother shooting at them until they're the last thing on the table.

Isn't the Remora still just got a Burst cannon?(longer ranged of course)

If so then thats an issue bcause its only Str5. Not bad at strafing ground targets or very weak flyers, but its useless against Vendettas(unless it gets a rear shot) or Stormravens.

Vendetta is pure win. Nothing else comes close. For now, it looks like that stupid looking chaos flying zoid is going to be better, and the latest rumors about the DA flyer sound like it will be a dedicated interceptor as well.

Yep. Twin-linked burst cannon, markerlight and two seeker missiles. While the Barracuda gets two burst cannons, an ion cannon, and a twin-linked missile pod for 30% more points.
