I'm regularly surprised at the number of pop songs I "hate" after first listening to them, only to find myself humming the tune a week later.

Exalt just isn't enough, this thread gets better and better.
n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion.

Amazing.

Do you remember that time that thing happened?
This is a bad thread and you should all feel bad

I think it's more about the tone, pitch and inflection than the actual words. I know I listen to J-Pop all the time. I don't understand a lick of it, but I still like most of it.

I think it's really the amalgamation of everything together: the lyrics, the foreign lyrics, the video, the dance moves, and the GORGEOUS redheaded Korean girl...all of it makes for an awesome 4 minutes. Did I mention the Korean girl was gorgeous? And I'm usually not attracted to Asian girls, but wow. Wow.
That's Hyuna, she's actually a pretty successful popstar in her own right, even had a music video or two banned from Korean TV for being too racy.
People who love this song, and people with no taste whatsoever.

Why are you assuming 4chan is somehow connected to its success, or that 4chan has anything to do with the cancerous garbage floating around the mainstream web? I think it's a pretty good song. It's pretty cool that it's gotten such good attention.
I guess I'm showing my age in that I always assume that 80% of stupid, stupid fun internet memes come from 4chan, whereas nowadays of course it's Reddit.

Pfft, reddit is just a filter for 4chan. But yeah that's were I first came across this. (4chan)
Having now watched all of these, I'm sharing the shizzle out of them...

Was really pulling for Wil Wheaton to have a horrible, horrible death in that.
Corrected your typo

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Manly tears of joy were shed. I also enjoyed that amazingness of that video being immediately followed up by a "I don't want to live here anymore" meme photo. How anyone could even see the just the still screen from the video and not realize how great it is to live here, I just don't understand.
Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.
Also more hot Korean girls dancing to Gangnam Style for reasons and stuff.
I watched about a 1/3 of that then had to turn it off. That was, to put it simply, annoying as hell.
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
