Should always take fighta ace IMO but then again i lean more towards all-comer lists

Seriously though just to reinforce what has been stated Lootas are exceptional against DE, there str ignores virtually all FNP we have and they eat our transports for breakfast. The Dakkajet is another strong contender to face the DE (or any army for that matter). Shoota boys are better in 6th and are another solid choice.

As for the list - what are lobbas? For against DE I'd be tempted to say more Looters would be better.

i dont have the models for more lootas.. the lobbas are for being a pest really plus they can squish what comes out of the wreaks the looters will leave.. 5 more looters is tempting tho, i think i could proxy a few flash gits for looters

If it were me, I'd ditch the koptas and the nob bikers and take a 3rd loota squad, a 3rd boyz unit and a unit of regular bikes to cushion the warboss.
Also consider another line of big guns or boom gun looted tanks. Those nob bikers are too expensive now that wound allocation for them has been shafted, the deffkoptas are also too small and ineffective to be a threat. Small units like that will be picked apart by the few but strong ethos of the Dark Eldar heavy weaponry.

Haha! Yeah your right, the inner kabalite in me should rejoice but when my RL sunday afternoon goes down the pan to those wildly shooty wackos it makes me sad... :(

I agree on some points. Take bigshoota koptas instead of the bikes. If your just going for cushion, go with multiwound, T5 koptas that are cheaper and have farther range with the Bigshootas. And Id change the lobbas with Kannons. You can fire krak to EASILY smoke vehicles and then once the squishy things plop out, switch to firing frag and drop a bunch of templates on them

Watch out for cluster caltrop reaver jetbikes. They inflict d6 strength 6 hits per jetbike on a unit they pass over. They can fly 48 inches per turn with turbo boosting.

OK guys heres how it went. I fielded my list above.
he fielded
a hq who granted a warrior squad 3+ poisoned weapon
20 warriors on foot splinter cannon
10 warriors in a raider splinter cannon and a lance on the raider
10 warriors in raider as above
5 warriors in a venom ? i think there called.. 12 shots each a turn ! gak!

a beast squad consisting of about 8 dogs 4 razorwing swarms and 3 masters
2 of the dark eldar flyers (nasty as hell missles!

by the end of his first shooting phase i had lost 14 boys in one of the boy squads they held it together tho and surged forward to take a few wounds off the beast squad. my copters nipped round the flank to pot shotat the beasts.
all his vehicles where clustered together in the far corner mowing down what the could reach so both boy squad were done for by turn 3. turn two shock attack gun.! BOOM goes 2 venoms and a raider becoz they were so closely packed. first blood to me. i charged by biker boss and nobs but was cut short.... my own mistake i wont make again they were cut down by a hail of poison fire from the big squad of warriors then finished of by the talos. one of his flyer came in on turn two erradicating my other boy squad and some of my grots. they made a run for it take an objective whilst the boys (what was left) followed both my dakka jets arrive turn 3 blasting his flyer out of the sky and another raider. his other flyer comes in turn 4 falls to even dink my dakka jet then is gunned down. by this point whats left of those wound soaking beasts ate my grots and what was left of the boys then exploded in a cloud of dirty gristle and wings as my looters smashed em with fire. all in all end of game i had 6 looters 3 copters 3 lobbas 2 dakka jets. he had 18 warriors and his hq nestled on an objective gone to ground.... i had first blood he had slay the warlord.... and i stupidly forgot to leave my copters in his deployment zone as the game ended on turn 5 on a roll of a one..
conclusion
dark eldar are brutal but they die easy....poison weapons dont work against armour value.. maybe a kan wall would work with looters to pop the bright lance platforms and vehicles before they pop you... by turn 3 of this game both armies were down to about 25% it was a blood bath.
good thing i took two dakkajets cheers for the advice dakkarites
