A paedophile ring is made of several predators who support each other, trade children among them and act together to procure and seduce children into their activities.

It appears from what I've read that the individuals who saw something chose to remain silent as individuals, they are guilty of a fairly terrible crime but they are not paedophiles or part of a ring.

So, one predator, many victims remaining silent, some folks seeing criminal behaviour and remaining silent and several in positions of authority hearing reports and rumours and not looking into them/dismissing them.

Its a bit more complicated than that, apparently there are others involved who are still living, hence why it has been upgraded to a criminal investigation. The only other person arrested so far has been Garry Glitter who is an obvious suspect but to be honest it sounds like the evidence, at least what has been released, against him is slim.

My post was not meant to be patronising, I was unaware there have been charges against a group of men and as I had read it, Savile was solitary and opportunistic in his crimes rather than operating in a group.

Nonetheless, your charming picture and witticism certainly opened my eyes, well done you cheeky scamp! Now careful getting that massive brain of yours through the doors without getting stuck.

If you had no idea what I was talking about, why didn't you just say that instead of assuming I didn't? You could have said 'Eh? Just saw a joke about jimmy savile and wondered how many others saw or heard it.
This was said on live radio as a serious comment, they later said sorry for it.

"I don't know why everyone says jimmy savile is such a bad guy, he fixed it for me to milk a cow blindfolded"

To be honest I think it was better it came out after his death, I felt he might be quite a spanner in the works if alive.
