The Nightspinner doesn't need
LoS, and it's longer range than most (72")
But yes, it's one option in a range of many, and they're all good at certain things.
Against Horde, I'd choose Large Blast or lots of shots (Scatter lasers), and against light tanks,
SL comes out well again. For heavy tanks, get Prisms, HWG or lances.
The
SL has a range of only 36" though.
WWs don't last too long when anything gets into its own range of them.
