IF people are trapped in evacuation cneters, and no one is coming to help that is uncomfortably like a Katrina/Superdome scenario.

Gov said leave the city before hand and Mayor said shelters are available. Mayor was aiming at the individuals who would not leave the area since most have left the island. Timing of it I'm sure wll come out as I'm sure the one relief center that station by the bay.....seriously...the bay

If your stuck in jeresy or new york and in trouble, then the only ones needing help are the fools that you would find on those stupid television channels, everyone is sane and tough enough to manage.

At least the ecav center wasn't below ground, or this would have gotten out of hand fast.

Atlantic City on the shoreline. Structure up there is not the same type of structure in FLA

Atlantic City, at least the casino area, is on an island, with a small bay between it and the mainland.

My cousin stayed at our house in Ventnor last night (right next to AC, same island), and I have other cousins that live nearby in Somer's Point just outside Ocean City .. no idea if the house is OK yet but i think if it was anything really bad I would have heard from someone by now.

True. However, the way it has been explained to me is that it is a very wide, and very SLOW Cat 1 hurricane.
