I did that a while back.

She didn't speak to me for 5 years afterwards.

It was her fault though. She wanted me to choose which path I walked - and I wouldn't do it without knowing what was on them - I don't do "leaps of faith". She said the choice was mine to make, and she couldn't influence my choice. So I chose the one she wasn't on.

Kinda funny in a way. For all her "freedom to choose" posturing, she really didn't like it when people chose the "wrong option".
