I see fliers occasionally, but I don't play with a cutthroat competitive crew. Most of my games have been with my infantry horde Valhallans, and they've done well for me. Blobs are by no stretch dead, but powerblobs may be. Big squads of dudes with a Commissar are still solid though, and FRFSRF out to 24" means they're reliably putting down the anti-infantry hurt. Unfortunately I rarely get into close combat with them, and if I do I almost never do any damage with my power swords. S3 is too weedy.

I had a few games with my Chaos Marines and I'm still too new to the new codex to really make a decision one way or another.

I have been seeing more ADL and quad guns, more infantry squads due to the nature of 6th ed missions being objective-heavy and fewer transports like Rhinos/Chimeras. I once played a SoB/IG army with 5 Rhinos/Chimeras and 2 Vendettas that were charging my gun line that had ADL, two Tac squads with one Lascannon each and two AutoLas Preds. The Vendetta died the moment it arrived in the field thanks to ADL, and none of the 5 metal boxes even made 10 inches from my gunline while I destroyed them and successfully forced pinning checks on disembarking infantry.

However I have seen great success with CSM/Daemon armies that use Heldrakes in tandem with Flamers and Screamers. Also, Ork lists with battlewagons and nob bikers that simply pile tons of foot infantry into enemy lines.

As of late I have seen a influx of units that was not used a lot in 5th, lord knows I smile I see my enemy deploy a whole army made up Tyranind Warriors and Carnifexes with Genestealers sprikeld in for good measure.

We have discused fliers in my gaming circle and the ruling verdict seems to be that none of us really use them. We have the modeld but the will to use them are severly missing it seems. Well with the exception of a couple of Ork players, who more than often fall on their face when using them

In my gaming club, I see flyers, ADLs, gunlines, allies and homebrew stuff everywhere. What I cant see are scoring units (nobody needs them, as everyone wins the game with secondary objectives) and assault units (maybe 1-1 biker nobz and TH/SS terminator squad appears sometimes).
