If you are in industry, know people in the industry, and live out West (CO, WY, NM) please let me know.
She needs employment in a big way.

I work for this company. The atmosphere is awesome. HQ is in NM and I don't have any contacts in her department, so I'm not of any use as a contact, but my experience with this company has been absolutely phenomenal and I have nothing but good things to say about it.

It's all defense-related research. Keep an eye pealed for job openings. If she can do applied work, she might have an in.

Well, if your interested in moving to SoCal (despite the rediculous taxes and regulation) General Atomics is booming. They are getting huge orders from just about every Nation for drone aircraft. Years worth of backlog.
In addition GA is doing some major work on electro-magnetic systems (from MagLev trains to the new EMALS catapults of aircraft carriers) and even Fusion research.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

Good luck, the issue shes probably running into is that shes overqualified for positions. when they see all that on her resume they're expecting to have to pay her a higher salary. Have her contact and send her resume to pharmasutical companies. We could always use more chemists in the medical field.

Good luck!

I see you're in Boulder, CO. With that in mind, how about SWRI, NCAR, or UCAR? I know a doctorate related to spectroscopy would be relevant to people there. And I'd wager her advisers would likely know someone there for advice/suggestions about opportunities.

She's already applied to all of those. Sadly, none of them seem to be looking at the moment. Her advisor is trying to help, but the market seems to be a bit flat here.
