Being forced to move because you opted to nominate that specific unit for dimensional corridor, is like saying that because you opted a unit to deep strike, it must start in reserve and does not count towards the 50% restriction.

Actually, it's more like you selected a transport to deep strike, and then claim that the unit embarked on board isn't counted for the 50%.
It's not the warriors who are making the choice, it's another unit, which is what leaves wiggle room.
