If you want fancy 3d corridors and can wait, these'll be a good alternative to the various laser cut MDF ones when they're released.

I got the space hulk set minus the miniatures for about £25 6 months after release. I bought a box of assault termies, and a box of normal ones, and had loads of fun converting them to dynamic poses comparable to the space hulk sculpts. I wanted a different chapter to BA so it worked out well for me. I got all the genestealers except the broodlord on eBay for £18, and I'm working on a kitbash broodlord now

I really enjoy project pandora, but it's pretty distinct from Space Hulk, and the production values are... mildly disappointing, lets say.

I wrote a review of it when it came out:

My bottom line: it's a shockingly fun game with kinda lousy components.

Its no question why its not made. It doesn't make money!! Think about it critically for a moment. Space Hulk is a "starter game", an intro to whet your appetite. All so you'll pick up some "real" 40k and start amasssing an army that'll take years and cost hundreds to thousands! That's why its only made in fits. Really is too bad though. My friends and I have started a board game night every couple of weeks and we're having a blast with all sorts of cool games. Space Hulk would be insane but none of us are coughing up those ridiculous prices. Same reason we started Necromunda instead of 40k./

This line of reasoning broke 7th edition in Fantasy. The books should be as equal as possible, even a theoretical "Codex: Squirrels with Crustacean allies" should have a fair chance to beat "Codex: God".

That's not a solid explanation. If Space Hulk was meant to be a starter game, (not only would it be sold at general toy stores), it would be an unlimited release. A limited release is meant to largely appeal to collectors and those who are bent by nostalgia. And unlimited release would appeal specifically to those who are new to the entire GW line, acting as an introductory game that would draw someone into the entire GW product line and universe(s).

Essentially, GW screwed up Space Hulk on an incredible level, to the point where I am literally in awe to the stupidity put on display.
