Squigsquasher: thank you. I've been trying to work on improving the way I paint metals for a while so I'm very pleased to hear that! The Tau arrived yesterday so I should start getting some paint on them tomorrow, all being well.

shingouki: thanks. I'm glad you like it.

Finished the chaos lord yesterday evening:

I like the relatively minimalistic route you took with him. The muted gold and battered silver contrasts nicely with the dark red cape.

Good job!

Thanks guys.

I'll be painting Tau now for the next week or so.

W.I.P. Cadre Fireblade (cloak and flesh are done, everything else just basecoated):

I have a Riptide and Broadside to paint as well. I'll get started on the Riptide at the weekend and would love some input re. colours. I don't fancy doing more of the 'standard' yellow-brown but the model will end up on eBay so I want to make sure it's still appealing to people. Currently I'm thinking blue but any other ideas/opinions would be great.

How about red and white?

Nice idea, thanks. I may well go with that!

Cadre Fireblade is now done:

I've made a decent start on the Riptide too so should get that finished tomorrow, I think.

Looks cool! Very nice clean paintjob. I love how smooth the white and the brown are.

Thank you!

Right, the Riptide is finally finished. I had a bit of a hectic week so didn't get it done as quickly as I had hoped. It also ending up being one of those models that just never 'felt' right. I'm not really happy with how it's turned out tbh (although I am pleased with the colours - thank you squigsquasher!) but as it was just a quick paint job for ebay, it will have to do!

Pictures:

The colours are the most accurate here I think:

I quite like the colours on the Riptide.

Can't believe how long it's been since I last posted on here. I've been pretty busy with commissions and other stuff so haven't done as much 'me' painting lately.

Here's some pathfinders that I don't think I posted pics of before:

I've also just bought several of the new High Elf kits so that's what I'll be painting for the next week or two!

Handmaiden is done:

I also have Alarielle, the Loremaster, a couple of phoenixes and two of the sky chariot things. Should be a lot of fun to paint.

Alarielle is now finished too. I didn't really like the GW colour scheme so have gone with something completely different:

All comments/criticisms are welcome. I'll probably make a start on the first phoenix tomorrow.

And the Loremaster:

Should have the skycutter done in the next day or two.

Interesting work in here. The muted colors really speak of your individual style. I like it a lot

Thank you very much! I'm glad you like it.

I've been kept fairly busy with commissions lately but managed to get the lothern skycutter finished at the weekend:

Not the easiest model to photograph so pictures aren't great, sorry.

Lovely work! Great job on everything actually!

Just a quick question; what colours did you use for the wood on the skycutter? I am currently looking for ideas to paint my own and I would be grateful if you could give me some help!

Wow, it's been a long time since I added anything here! I've been really busy with commissions but here's a couple of models I've managed to fit in around them recently:
