I think i pretty much finished my wraith conversion today.I have given him the name Lurker and see him lurking in the dark places aboard the main strike cruiser of my Sons of Horus 13th coterie.In my mind he is a heretical tech priest blessed with a chaos tech virus .I see him scavaging the battlefield stripping corpses of their armour and weaponry for use by the sons.I took on board some of the ideas given by other posters to make him look cool.Anyway here are some pics taken by my phone.

Really liking this stuff, just wondering, what are you going to run them as in game? I see some units that would be specifically available to loyalist marines (landspeeders) and others which are strictly chaos (helldrake)
Or are you doing this for a modelling hobby only, and not planning to run them as an army ingame?

G'day fellow dakka lovers,well it's been a busy week but i managed to pretty much finish this bad boy.Any tips or critique is welcome.











Now i've had a good look at these pics i can see a couple of bits need touching up.I might get a couple more washes down too,but i wanted the skin too be pretty bright.

Hi everyone hope you had a nice Easter.I managed to get stuck right in to painting today,i got through this model which was a reclamation project as my son had made this ages ago (incorrectly but at least he did it all himself).






I also managed to crack on with making some 40k Beastmen,rest assured they will be photo'd as soon as they look half decent.For now they are put together(yay bitsbox)
and have a couple of colours down.Any way comments criticism are all welcome,don't hold back.

Nice! Really love the green you use for these guys. Are those FW transfers you used? I always thought aout getting some but do they go all glossy on the edges like the GW ones?

Yes mate those are the forge world ones.A tenner for a massive sheet is good value imo.There are loads of transfers on there.They are very much like standard gw ones though.I just make sure to give them a good soak and apply them using a pair of tweezers(the wifes eybrow pluckers)and a paint brush.The paints are vallejo usmc tank crew.I hope that helps,also many thanks for commenting on my work it really helps keep me motivated.

I used hormagaunt purple as the base colour and then built up the skin with layers of space wolves grey.I then washed the recesses with ogryn flesh wash.It is a fantastic mini and at the moment has pride of place in my display cabinet.

Here is a sneak peek of my current w.i.p mini's.My Catachan regiment is all i can think of at the minute so they are getting some love.They are just blu tacked for now but they are pretty much posed how i want them.Any comments would be great.

where did th chest pieces come from? I like the aussie hat that's in there as well

The flesh tones on the Hellbrute look brilliant, all pallid and deathly. Also those IG look awesome, will be good to see some paint on them!

Nice blog man! can I ask how you managed to get that lovely shade of green? Also it looks in need of a little shading, maybe watered down nuln oil?

I agree with the shading bit, just something to make those armor lines really pop could be a huge benefit!
