Hey , thanks for all the comments guys , unfortunately work has now got in the way and I'll be away for two weeks , so my SturmRaiders will be on hold till then.

Lets see them mate , I only glued together a load of pre-made bits and filled the gaps really.

That thunderer is superb. I'd never really appreciated how raider-like a Russ was till I say it back to front. Quality.

So , after a bit of a work induced delay , finally got the SturmRaiders somewhat finished ! Here's a quick pick will put the remainder on my camo marine plog.

Very nice indeed! Great camo, and the build looks solid - completely believable.

Loving the look, although I have to say that I preferred them before the extended gun barrels and sponsoons were added. They strike me as really great Vindicator stand ins on their own like that.

Thanks alot guys , Ketra the long barrels on both SturmRaiders are a push fit so they can be removed if necessary , tho , TBH , I prefer them long ! :-P
I have no real idea why I added the sponsons however !!!! LOL

They look awesome, much better painted than mine!

I put sponsons on both mine before I read the rules and realised neither of them can actually take sponsons!

Dude its only practise !! Besides I didn't even know you COULDN'T take sponsons. Maybe my boy can use them as "counts as a Predator" ! :-)

If you want to use them as IG then you could always say its just fitted but the weapons are inactive. It's what I said with mine. Using them as Marines the predator/vindicator variant would be the best idea. Too few weapons and a tiny bit too small to use them as a Ares variant...

My son plays Space Marines , so we'll probably go the Predator / Vindicator route, gonna try get the guys at the local game store to knock up some rules/ points value for it this week with any luck.

For a Vindi play it at normal points, just don't use the sponsons.

But them I'd almost be tempted to play it as a mini-Ares...
