I agree that Boys are an awesome substitute for or supplement to Cultists if you're interested in allying Orks. They have MUCH more offensive potential, are substantially more durable, and don't cost much more.

the problem is that allying IG is just so tempting. Other than IG, nids and DE I dont know why you wouldnt ally IG.

Chaos actually has a lot of good ally options. Daemons are great, of course, and I've recently been using Necrons for a solid flyer contingent and additional scoring and antiinfantry firepower.
