I have two minor questions, and I don't want to make a separate thread for it.

If a squad assaults a trukk and blows it up, can the boys inside back away and open fire next turn, or are they "locked in combat" because the enemy was in hand-to-hand with their vehicle?

and

You get +1 strength when you charge as orks, and you get x2 strength when you attack with a power klaw. Is it 4+1x2=10, or 4x2+1=9 strength?

They are not locked in combat. Essentially the only way to be locked is if your unit was charged or completed a charge.

For the second question, read how characteristics are modified on page 2,3 and I think 4.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Tell that to my Termies, who, if they even make the charge ( for a four inch charge??), lose a model to melta/plasma pretty much 80% of the time.

Thanks.

I feel like Deff Koptaz are really overrated.

Buzzsaw gives him a strength 7 attack, which can't pop a land raider.......

...........which is what EVERYONE ing uses.

Koptas are best for harassment. I don't take buzzsaws. If I get first turn, I put them up front, scout move and blow up a rhino or something for first blood. If I go second, I outflank them and harass any backfield dakka unit. Guaranteed to make your opponent direct ALL of their fire at them for a turn.

I don't run a warboss, I run a "dakka fortress" strategy.

I have 3 trukks of shoota boyz(with nobs with power klaws of course) and in one of the trukks is a big mek with a Kustom Force Field.

A battlewagon(without a killakannon) full of boyz(and a nob w/ klaw)

2 looted wagons with boomguns

and I have an optional 6 nob bikers(ones a painboy) with power klaws and combi shoota/scorchas and 3 deff koptaz, which I dont like to take.

So you don't run anything that can take out a Land Raider, and then complain about EVERYONE Taking Land Raiders?

Actually I use my Bikers for that, they do a pretty good job popping them, I just find koptaz useless cause they cant.

Actually I keep my boys in my trukks and shoot shoot shoot, usually.

Sometimes I face a army that out-shoots me(which is rare) and take the charge, but I can usually pop light transports with big shootaz alone.

Buzzsaws feel kind of like wasted points...then again, every person I fight always plays at a point value I can't reach so it doesn't matter too much.

Using the same thread I made many weeks ago to ask this simple question.

Lets say a squad shoots at another squad, their range is 18 inches, and there is a squad of 10 guys HOWEVER only 1 is within 18 inches. Does this mean only the one can be hit by the squad shooting, or the entire group that is being shot at?

From the main Rulebook FAQ: (http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m3030001a_40K_RULEBOOK_v1.3_FEBRUARY13.pdf)

Q: When making a Shooting attack against a unit, can Wounds from the Wound Pool be allocated to models that were not within range any of the shooting models when To Hit rolls were made (i.e. half the targeted model are in the shooting models’ range, and half are not)? (p15)
A: No

Well, today is the day where he returns to the store.

Hopefully he looked up and understands the rules now, I hate feeling like a WAAC player, I just want to play the game by the rules, yakno?

I just want to play Warhammer 40,000, not Battlemace Many Millenia.
