What you need to do is screw the shotguns and get a bunch of sniper rifles. 36" range with pinning. Have fun!

this has been really helpful im a BT player as well and wanted some shotgun toting scouts/neophytes just because i love the idea of shot guns, im also tempted to have a normal space marine army with my BT and use two squads of scout snipers pin the enemy and then let my 20 man squad charge in and mop them up.

Never interrupt your enemy whilst he is making a mistake. . . . . . its bad manners

Problem is that most armys can´t be pinned or at least the units that can be pinned aren´t worth it...

If your running SM/BT and your only point for scouts is to take out support... Why not just go drop pod with something a little more weighty? Scouts have advantages, but just wondering.

the battles me and my friends play are mostly low point fast battles. buying a drop pod and putting marines in it are a bit to pricy.
