I take it this is a space wolves pred then? I think the Heavy Bolters and autocannon are good at killing infantry but if you want to kill tanks with something other than your longfangs then I would suggest Lascannon on the top instead of the autocannon.

Depends on how much your codex charges for the TL LC.

I'd much rather take HB long fangs over a dakka predator.

The Dakka pred isn't good enough at what it does to be worth buying.
The LC pred does what it's supposed to well, but at a cost. If you throw an AC on it, you're really hurting its killing power, but making it a hell of a lot cheaper. IMO use the AC for now, but make sure you magnetise it. The SW update is a long way off, but if you don't want DA allies, SM should be updated within the year, and you'll have a nice cheap Predator Annihilator.

Off topic slightly, but the Chaos Dakka Pred is awesome. I field one here and there and am always impressed. I get Warpflame Gargs (soul blaze is totally underrated) and a havoc launcher, and man, that thing is just a wound machine.

I am surprised you have had much success with soulblaze. My calculations show it being equal to +1 bolter shot roughly.

I've never encountered warpflame gargs. I assume they have something to do with soul blaze...but what exactly do they do? Also havoc launchers are awesome.
Maybe I'm underestimating it, I just feel like 8 shots isn't a hell of a lot, but I suppose for 85pts on an AV:13 frame it's deceptively cheap.

The dakka pred was very good for C:SM in 5th, when the thunderfire cannon was laughably easy to take out. Now the Thunderfire is the better value. Especially since ignores cover mechanic is so strong now.
