Oh yeah. I have mentally blocked those guys and usually curl up into a fetal ball when forced to play them

As was mentioned earlier in the thread. You need to have other armor in your list to distract from the rhinos. If the only AV you field is 3x rhinos, then don't expect them to outlive turn 2. On the other hand if you build a list like say... 3x Vindicators 2x Rifleman dreadnought, and possibly a LR. Then it is quite likely that the rhinos will be at the bottom of your opponents target priority.

Rhinos are still good in 6th edition, they just aren't the auto-takes that they were in 5th.

Do people who worry about giving up all their Rhinos on Turn 1 not play with LOS blocking terrain?

You can't count on LOS blocking terrain on any given random map. I don't usually play with a whole lot of LOS blocking terrain myself. It's just what the store has on hand.

Thaylen sums it up pretty well. Besides that, they're great for pushing up table fast 1 MAYBE 2 turns, but much longer after that they're bullet magnets. STR 4 hits on 10 marines can add up to a lot of dead bodies.

Well I'm going to have to find out.

I'll try out an 1850 list with a fair amount of GH and WG, 5 rhino chasis, couple of rifleman, ADL and triple long fangs. Doubtful that it will be good.

Where can you GET the TL HF actual pieces? Do they come with the kit or do you back them up? This intrigues me as an option, and I've heard you talk about it before.

Also, the "First Blood" thing is pretty clear, but can Rhinos also help out with "Linebreaker" later in the game?

I build them out of redeemer sponsons or Baal flamer sponsons.

Thanks man. If I build my Land Raider with Hurricane Sponsons, then I can use the Flamestorm for that.

I think they are still useful, they can get Khorne Beserkers closer to the enemy and don't run the risk of getting shot down.
