Subject: Rothand Studio, Update March 14th- Chaos sorcerer model
Great thread - I will be making a purchase shortly. Got to have me some of those worms and the sorcerer is great too. I thought that the Egytian thingy was a complete kit at first glance - didnt realize required GW kit as well. Really want it - might have to break my no GW rule for that.
EDIT: How do I order and how much is that sorcerer?

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

The worms are 36€ (plus 8€ shipping, but I imagine that wouldn't change if adding the sorcerer). However, he did say he initially only had 2 sets of the worms available, hopefully one of them is still unclaimed! Would love to see what you think of them when you get them

The nightmare stallion is really interesting, but I can't tell what is going on with its hind quarters / haunch. There is a circular area with a spike coming out... but I don't get why it would be so circular on both sides. Can you explain what this is representing / how you would envision it being painted?
It's the raised outer edge of the circle that is puzzling me, not the crevices.

Never fond of random spikes standing in for design, either. The rows along the neck look interesting, but the ones poking out the thighs and fore 'knees' have me scratching my head.
I have at last 20 ideas how to paint it... all depending from your idea and effect you want to attain.
The rowes in concept are lava and stallion is black.
