he only ignores it if it was naturally 4+, otherwise he reduces it to 4+. Thats why i put a "Note" there
Heres an example. Grimmor inflicts a wound on a unit of Black Templars, it the Templar player puts the wound on a Neophyte (armor 4+ if i remember right) he doesnt get a save, but if he puts it on a Sword Brother he gets to roll his armor save which is reduced to a 4+ from a 3+
